Allen Media Merges Newsrooms (Updated)

Allen Media will have WAAY in Huntsville, producing the newscasts to WCOV in Montgomery.

Both stations are owned by Allen Media.

The company posted a job opening for a couple of MMJ’s to cover all the news that happens in Montgomery.

Update: A market insider tells FTVLive that WCOV hasn’t done their own newscasts in years. WSFA and WAKA have taken turns producing the WCOV newscasts. I guess now it’s WAAY’s turn.

Reading the job description, those MMJ’s will be very busy. However, I’m sure the large salary being offered will make up for all that work (Sarcasm).
