Former Phoenix Anchor Charged with Fraud

Back in December of 2022, FTVLive told you that former KNXV Anchor Stephanie Hockridge was named in a congressional report that claimed that the company she founded with her husband facilitated fraud while processing processed Paycheck Protection Program loan applications during the pandemic.

It’s been two years since that FTVLive story, and now the couple has been charged with fraud.

The indictment was unsealed late last week in the Northern District of Texas. Hockridge and her husband were charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud.

The maximum penalty for each count is 20 years in prison, meaning they face the prospect of spending the rest of their lives behind bars if convicted on all charges.
