We have seen that at a number of Tegna stations, Directors are being told their jobs will be eliminated.

Tegna sacked Directors in Sacramento, Spokane, Memphis, Huntsville, and Louisville.

So, how will the newscasts get on the air?

Sources tell FTVLive that these Tegna markets will be the first to use a new system that will have Producers punching the show. The new Tegna system will be cloud-based.

Clearly, these markets will be used to roll out the new system and make sure it works how they want. But once they feel comfortable with it, you know it will be rolled out at other stations.

In other words, if you’re a Director working at a Tegna station, you might want to update your resume and start looking.
