Warren Buffett's Scripps Mistake?
/Normally, anything that Warren Buffett invests in makes him money. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, is one of the richest companies in the world.
However, even Buffett can make a bad investment, which looks exactly like what he did with Scripps.
Berkshire Hathaway invested $600 million on Scripps preferred stock and it hasn’t gone very well.
Scripps stock is down about 70% so far in 2024, and off 90% from its 2021 high of $24.
That has shrunk its market value of Scripps to under $250 million.
I don’t think Scripps CEO Adam Symson is on Warren Buffett’s Holiday card list this year.
