Warren Buffett's Scripps Mistake?

Normally, anything that Warren Buffett invests in makes him money. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, is one of the richest companies in the world.

However, even Buffett can make a bad investment, which looks exactly like what he did with Scripps.

Berkshire Hathaway invested $600 million on Scripps preferred stock and it hasn’t gone very well.

Scripps stock is down about 70% so far in 2024, and off 90% from its 2021 high of $24.

That has shrunk its market value of Scripps to under $250 million.

I don’t think Scripps CEO Adam Symson is on Warren Buffett’s Holiday card list this year.
