First Hoda, Then Lester?
/Hoda Kotb shocked some staff members at the Today Show when she announced her sudden exit from the network.
Word is that Kotb was offered a new contract to stay, but it was at a pay cut over her current contract.
As networks see audiences shrink and ad dollars dry up, the day of the high paid anchor is coming to an end.
Kotb might have been the first, but not the last at NBC.
Word is that Lester Holt’s contract is coming up next year, and he will likely leave the Nightly News chair.
NBC hired Tom Llamas back in 2022, and he was looked at as Holt’s replacement on Nightly News.
Don’t be surprised if Holt “retires” next year, and is replaced by lamas.
One thing that is for certain, Tom Llamas will not be paid as much as Lester Holt.
The same can be said for the person that replaces Hoda.
