Leaving The Firm in Houston

I mention KRIV Anchor Caroline Collins in today’s FTVLive Flashcam, and there is some news involving the person who hired Collins.

Sources tell FTVLive that KRIV ND Susan Schiller has left the station. Schiller joined The Firm’s Houston station back in August of 2016.

Schiller hired Collins out of Fresno to be the station’s main anchor. She said that Collins’s social media following would be a big asset to KRIV. But Collins mostly posts makeup videos and dance videos and rarely posts anything news-related.

One manager at Fox corporate told FTVLive that Collins was “not a good hire.”

KRIV Assistant News Director Lee Meier will be the acting News Director while The Firm looks for a replacement.
