Atlanta Anchor Turns Down Tegna's Offer

WXIA Anchor Jeff Hullinger is leaving the Tegna station after more than 13 years and 40 years in Atlanta media, turning down the latest contract offer from the company.

WXIA News Director Kristie Anderson sent an email to the staff telling them Hullinger was leaving, “I want to thank him for his nearly 14 years of service. He’s been a long-time contributor to Atlanta media and sports. We wish him the best on his future endeavors.”

Hullinger did not comment on his exit or the offer from Tegna.

Hullinger arrived in Atlanta in 1984.
