Senior Reporter?

Look at this job posting from Scripps for a “Senior Reporter” job in Colorado.

How is this job any different than a regular Reporter?

Also, the posting says you need 5+ years of experience.

Wow! Just 5 years in the business, and you can be a “Senior Reporter”?

For many, that means they might have two stations under their belt.

It used to be you need at least a decade maybe 15 years, before you could grab the “Senior Reporter” title.

I guess in a business, where people are leaving after just a couple years in, 5 years makes you a grizzled vet.
