Crossing the Street in Denver

After 23 years at Tegna’s KUSA, Sports Anchor Rod Mackey has signed off from the station.

"My time here was tremendous," Mackey said. "All the coaches, the players, all the people I worked with, everyone back in the sports department — it's really been a fun ride."   

His time has been so “tremendous” at KUSA, that Mackey is leaving and crossing the street to CBS’s KCNC.

Credit to KUSA, they did allow Mackey to sign off on air and gave him a short goodbye story on the station’s website.

Insiders tell FTVLive that it was not as rosy behind the scenes as all try to make it seem.

Then again, if it was, I don’t think Mackey would have left.
