Is That Money Well Spent?

In the wake of a number of layoffs, Scripps is spending some major cheese at NABJ in Birmingham this year.

The company has even gone so far as to hire rapper Doug E. Fresh to sing for the NABJ attendees.

Is someone really going to take a job with Scripps just because they had a DJ at the conference?

While this isn’t the biggest deal in the world, the fact that you laying out some bag right after you sent a number of people packing, I don’t think the optics are great on this.

Also, of the 9 recruiters tagged in the post, just one appears to be Black.

But, I guess the Black rapper makes up for the lack of diversity….right?
