News Crew Safety in Chicago

Yesterday, FTVLive told you that a news crew from a Chicago TV station was doing a story about the rash of robberies over the weekend when they became a statistic.

Pistol-packing punks robbed the crew from the Univision station in the Windy City. The crew had both station gear and personal belongings stolen.

This is the second time a Chicago news crew was robbed in the past few weeks.

The union is now looking to step up and put pressure on the stations to keep the crews in the field safe.
