Gone in Ft. Wayne

Gray’s WPTA (Ft. Wayne) parted ways with popular Anchor Brien McElhatten last week.

“After his goodbye at 6pm, management pulled Brien from anchoring the station’s 7pm and 11pm newscasts,” said a station insider to FTVLive.

There was no official word on why the station parted ways with the anchor. One source tells FTVLive that McElhatten did not have his contract renewed.

Some speculate that the station decided to part ways with McElhatten after his tough but fair interview with GOP Indiana Congressman Jim Banks back in January.

The station has already scrubbed McElhatten’s bio from the station’s website.
