San Diego Station Ordered to Pay Nearly $3 Million Bucks in Attorney Fees

Back in March, FTVLive told you that former KUSI (San Diego) Anchor Sandra Mass won her case against her old station.

Mass was awarded nearly $1.3 million in lost past and future wages, plus $200,000 for her equal pay claim and $80,000 for emotional distress.

But it doesn’t end there.

The trial judge has ordered the soon-to-be Nexstar station that KUSI must also pay her attorneys nearly $2.38 million for their fees.

Mass’s lawyers asked for nearly $4 million in fees, but San Diego Superior Court Judge Ronald Frazier, who oversaw Maas’ trial, agreed that the station should pay attorney’s fees, but at a lesser amount than proposed.

The station claims they are going to appeal.
