My reply is, who the fuck cares about a celebrity?

As a Reporter, I would much rather break a story that has an impact on viewers and maybe gets laws changed, or rights a wrong.

Sitting down with some celebrity for a fluff piece that in the end means nothing, seems like the perfect fit for an Anchor at a Tegna station.

Don’t be awed by the so-called celebrities, bury yourself in doing stories that make a difference.

So many station’s have the tagline “Making a Difference” but very few stations actually do that.

Make it your goal to report stories that make a difference!

Maybe if you do, Macklemore will call you up to play a round of golf.

By the way, one time the pro at my golf course asked if I would play 18 holes with three guys that showed up at the course as guests (guests were required to play with members).

The three guys were all nice and said they were in town for a concert at Star Lake Amphitheater (Pittsburgh). We finished the round and one guy, named John asked me if I wanted some tickets to their show? I politely declined and said I would be working later that evening.

I didn’t find out until I went into the station that the John I was playing golf with was the singer John Mayer.

I still didn’t care to go to the concert.
