Anchor is Tossed In Texas

Nexstar’s KMID (Midland) recently hired Garrett Hottle as the station’s main anchor.

Insiders tell FTVLive that Hottle landed with a thud in the newsroom and was “difficult to work with.”

“He was weirdly hostile off the bat to his coanchor Madalyn Bierster who has been here over 2 years and is a genuinely kind person,” said one station insider to FTVLive.

Apparently, the station decided to cut ties with Hottle when it became clear that this was not working out.

The staff was sent this internal email which was obtained by FTVLive.
