CBS Boss on the Hot Seat
/FTVLive has heard from a number of CBS insiders that are not impressed with the top brass at the company.
Comments and complaints about CBS News co-presidents Wendy McMahon and Neeraj Khemlani (pictured).
Many of those that have contacted FTVLive believe that the two are conspiring against each other in an effort to get the top job in a solo role.
“The two-headed monster is not working, the company knows it but is too scared to make another change,” said one CBS staffer to FTVLive.
As for Khemlani, he is feeling the heat after he reportedly dressed down to female executives in a meeting.
Khemlani is said to have been very “rude,” and “disrespectful” towards Chief Financial Officer Stacey Benson and a female executive vice president at the April meeting, which was focused on long-term budget planning.
“They had a breakdown after the meeting,” an insider briefed on the incident said of the two women. “They were shaken.”
The New York Post says that a source said the shell-shocked execs subsequently complained about the “rough treatment,” which prompted CBS to appoint Mehmet Dilsiz, senior vice president of human resources for CBS News & Digital, to closely monitor Khemlani and his meetings with co-workers.
CBS CEO George Cheeks was briefed on Dilsiz’s appointment, an insider with knowledge said.
Neither Khemlani or Benson responded to requests for comment.
a CBS employee tells FTVLive that they believe that Khemlani’s days at CBS nare numbered.
