Banned for Sexist Remarks

A couple of DC sports radio guys have been banned from the NFL camp of the Washington Commanders for their sexist comments towards a WUSA Reporter.

Radio sports guys Don Geronimo and Crash Young were on the air as WUSA Reporter Sharla McBride walked by.

The pair cat-called McBride while live. “Hey look, Barbie’s here,” Geronimo shouted toward McBride. “Hi, Barbie girl. I’m guessing she’s a cheerleader.”

Geronimo continued later in the broadcast when he spotted McBride again, saying to Young “Oh hey, there’s that chick that you thought said tight.”

“Yeah, I screamed tight when she was,” Young responded before being interrupted.

McBride said that she was hurt and offended by the comments.

The team was quick to denounce the incident.

“We have worked hard to ensure that everyone feels safe and respected in our workplace, and we took swift action when we learned that an employee of our partner iHeart made sexually disparaging remarks to and about a member of the media while she was broadcasting live from training camp yesterday,” the team told WUSA9 in a statement.

Word is that Geronimo has been fired from the radio station.

Good.
