Any longtime reader of FTVLive knows how I feel about on-air marriage proposals.

I’m fine with them as long as they follow up when the divorce proceedings start.

While this proposal was not live on-air, I’m not sure about staging a breaking news story and using public resources for a proposal.

WMBA (Birmingham) Reporter Valerie Bell didn’t plan this or know anything about it, but the fact she posted it, I think, shows she doesn’t understand the look it projects.
