This is How Jobs in TV Should Work

I was looking at this job offer that Steve Jobs sent to a prospective employee back in 1989.

Check out the offer.

$80,000 a year (a lot in 1989)

A great health plan.

Stock options.

And a $5,000 hiring bonus to be paid on the first day of work.

Lastly, there is no contract, and the employee could leave at anytime.

Now, think about if this is how TV stations worked.

Good pay, great benefits, a signing bonus and not locked to any contract and no non-compete.

The reason Steve Jobs could make this offer, he knew he had a great company, where employees would want to work and they were treated well and compensated well.

Now you know why TV stations could never do this.
