Extensive Experience?

WFXG (Augusta) hired Tori Smith to join the station’s weather team.

In the on-air introduction, WFXG’s Chief Met said Smith had “extensive experience.” Smith just graduated college and is in school for a meteorology certificate. I’d hardly call that extensive.

It’s good that she has landed a job out of school, and Augusta is a good starter market. But don’t bill the new hire as something she is not.
