It is about damn time!

NBC has announced that Kristen Welker will be taking over Meet the Press from Chuck Todd later this Summer.

Todd announced the move on Sunday’s show.

Today we close our show with an announcement from @chucktodd:

I could say that Todd was terrible hosting Meet the Press, but that would still be an understatement. Todd tried to fill the shoes of the late, great Tim Russert, but he didn’t come close.

Welker should do a better job, but let’s be honest, that’s not a high bar to clear.
