Tegna Lowballs Union Employees

A petition is circulating to support the Photographers, Editors, and MSJ’s at Tegna’s KGW in Portland.

The group is represented by IATSE Local 600 and sources tell FTVLive that the latest offer from Tegna was for a 1% raise. That’s not even half of what inflation is standing at.

“They are also wanting to strip jurisdiction making it easier for anyone to do these jobs as well as do away with contract language that would get rid of the minimum staffing levels currently in place.” said one employee, adding, “At a time when inflation is this high, 1% is a slap in the face for the photogs, editors and MSJs…”
