CNBC Parts Way with Anchor That Help Bring Down CEO

And now, the other shoe has dropped.

CNBC said it is parting ways with Anchor Hadley Gamble.

Gamble filed a sexual harassment complaint that led to the firing of NBC Universal chief executive Jeff Shell.

“Her initiative and drive have secured valuable interviews with several world political leaders,” the CNBC spokesperson said “We wish her every success in her future endeavors.”

Comcast said in late April that it had fired Shell after it corroborated a female employee’s allegations of sexual harassment. Gamble’s lawyer, Suzanne McKie, said that Gamble’s complaint led to the probe into Shell.

On Tuesday, the New York Post did a story that tied Gamble to a relationship with billionaire Tom Barrack.

As Gamble was getting ready for a live shot from her hotel room in Turkey, Barrack could be seen lingering in the background before Gamble pointed from him to leave the room.

The Post writes that the video of the incident was leaked across CNBC newsrooms and sparked murmuring among staffers who questioned whether Gamble, then 39, had been dating Barrack, then 74, at the time of the interview — as well as why the relationship was never disclosed on air.

My guess is that she’s not leaving CNBC empty-handed.
