The Sinclair Cluster Fuck

Which was the worst investment…

Elon Musk buying Twitter, which has lost 2/3rds of its value, or Sinclair buying the regional sports networks?

Since Elon Musk hasn’t had to file for bankruptcy, we are giving the nod to Sinclair.

How bad has it gotten? Sinclair’s Diamond Sports announced that they will "not to provide additional funding to the San Diego RSN that would enable it to make the rights payment to the San Diego Padres during the grace period and will no longer be broadcasting Padres games.”

The Padres are now becoming the first team that Major League Baseball will take over the production of its games.

Knowing Sinclair, the MLB was smart enough to set up its own media department in the offseason to prepare for a Sinclair bankruptcy filing of their Diamond Sports.

Sinclair is looking for a buyer of their sports nets, but until they find one, look for the MLB to take over more teams’ games.

Major League Baseball might just be content with owning and producing the broadcasts with no need for a sports network.

The MLB is already promoting their channel for San Diego fans that want to watch the games.
