News Nation Ditches Weather Coverage to Save Money

A couple of weeks ago, Nexstar’s News Nation announced that they were going to 24/5 news coverage (apparently news doesn’t happen on the weekends).

The company said that this was their big commitment to being a full time cable news station.

Since that announcement, News Nation has pulled the plug on the early morning newscast and cast the show’s Anchor aside.

Now, they are doing the same with their weather department.

Not sure why a network would say they are making a big commitment to cable news and then turn right around and cut costs.
