Leaving The High Stress of TV News

WRGB (Albany) Anchor Anne McCloy has not been on the air at the Sinclair station since the beginning of the year.

McCloy has now taken to social media to say she’s not returning.

In a post to Facebook, McCloy says, “The bottom line is that I have decided I need a break from the high-stress world of broadcasting and I want to try something brand new.”

She added, “The stress and burnout from working non-stop covering politics, general news and anchoring three half hour newscasts a day took a toll. My doctor told me it was having a physical impact on me and suggested I stop working.
