Sinclair Sin City News Director Leaves (Updated)

Sources tell FTVLive that KSNV News Director Stephanie Wheatley has exited the Las Vegas station.

Wheatley had been the ND for nearly 5 years at the station; She was bumped up from the Deuce back in 2018.

Sources tell FTVLive that Sinclair has also grounded the station’s news chopper.

Sinclair has been crisscrossing the country, shutting down news departments in an effort to save money. We hear the grounding of the KSNV chopper is yet another cost-cutting move.

As to why they exited the ND in the middle of the May book, we don’t know.

Sinclair has posted the ND job, although I don’t know who would want to take it.

Update: Wheatley posted to social media that this story is not correct. It certainly appears that the ND job has been posted. Wheatley says that our source is wrong but did not go into details.
