Yet, Somehow He Remains Employed

All you have to do is talk to people that work at CNN, and it won’t take you long to find out what a douchebag Don Lemon is.

Lemon should have been canned from CNN years ago, but yet, he still has a job.

Variety is out with a piece that looks at Lemon’s shaky past at CNN.

Lemon is facing renewed scrutiny over his behavior towards women in the workplace, with a number of his former colleagues speaking out about his conduct. Lemon, who now co-anchors "CNN This Morning," has been accused of tearing up pictures and notes on the desk of former co-anchor Kyra Phillips, as well as sending threatening texts to her after she returned from a high-profile assignment in Iraq. According to sources, an HR investigation traced the texts back to Lemon, and he was demoted from his role as co-anchor.

These allegations have resurfaced in the wake of Lemon's recent comments about Nikki Haley, in which he suggested she wasn't a viable presidential candidate because she "isn't in her prime." Lemon's comments were widely criticized as sexist, and many of his colleagues called for his ouster.

Variety spoke with a dozen former and current colleagues, who described Lemon as a journalist who flouted rules and displayed open hostility to many female co-workers. He was accused of misogyny, name-dropping, and dating a junior employee, which was frowned upon at the time. Lemon's behavior was reportedly well-known among his colleagues, but he appeared to charm his way out of facing any meaningful consequences.

Lemon has denied the allegations against him, and CNN has said that it cannot corroborate the events from 15 years ago. However, the renewed attention on his behavior has raised questions about his past conduct and his future at the network.
