Sinclair Stations Off Hulu

Sinclair’s greed to try and bleed as much money out of the viewers has gotten their ABC affiliates tossed from Hulu.

Disney owns ABC and also owns Hulu.

“After months of negotiations with Sinclair, we were unable to reach a fair, market-based agreement for the carriage of their local ABC affiliates on Hulu Plus Live TV," a Disney spokepeson said. "While Sinclair chose to withhold their affiliates from the Hulu Plus Live TV channel line-up, impacted subscribers can continue to watch their favorite next day ABC programming such as American Idol, The Bachelor, Abbott Elementary, and Grey’s Anatomy.”

Disney can easily just put an ABC Network feed in place of the Sinclair ABC affiliates, and my guess is most viewers could care less.

Retrans money is the golden goose for TV stations, and they seem quite content to kill the goose by demanding more money from each viewer.

I can assure you that this will not end well as stations continue to try and separate viewers from their money.
