When the Story Hits Very Close to Home
/The second school shooting in a week in which a Journalist has a family member inside.
Last week, Fox News Reporter Alicia Acuna was reporting from outside a school in Denver. Three of her children were inside the school.
This week, the school shooting was in Nashville, and WTVF Reporter Hannah McDonald’s mother-in-law works inside the school at the front desk. A break might have saved her life.

In our story last week, FTVLive finished our post by saying this:
“For the next few hours, you will hear talk about how something needs to be done with the massive amount of guns in this county and the people that can get their hands on them.
By tomorrow, the media will be back to talking about Donald Trump and Hunter Biden’s laptop, and guns will no longer be a topic.
You know, until a few days or weeks from now, when the media is back reporting on another mass-shooting.”
Now, it’s just rinse and repeat.
Something needs to be done, and the media is one of the few outlets that can inject change. But, you know, and I know that nothing will change, kids will continue to be killed, and politicians will continue to offer up “thoughts and prayers” and do nothing else.
Complete bullshit!
To get on an airplane, you must pass through a medical detector. Why can’t we have this same setup at every school?
