Will Fox News Boss Be the Fall Gal? (Updated)

There is all sorts of speculation that Fox News head Suzanne Scott could be the head that rolls at the right-wing cable net.

Fox News has locked in a lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems, and despite if Fox News wins the lawsuit or not, a lot of damage has been done.

Dispositions and leaked text messages show that Fox News is clearly a mess. Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson demand people fired as they continued to push the message that the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump.

Almost everyone that has been deposed at Fox News has admitted under oath that they knew the 2020 election was not stolen or rigged. But, many Fox News hosts and guests continued to say just that on air.

Under oath, Fox head Rupert Murdoch said this about Scott, "I appointed Ms. Scott to the job ... and I delegate everything to her," Murdoch said.

Some think this is a sign that Scott might be the one to take the fall for the failings of Fox News.

Fox has ordered their media critic Howard Kurtz not to cover the Dominion case, despite the fact that it is the biggest media story in the world right now.

It appears that Fox News did all it could to help sell Trump’s “it’s rigged” lie, and how is Trump paying them back?

He’s trashing Fox News.

In a post to Truth Social, Trump said:

“If Rupert Murdoch honestly believes that the Presidential Election of 2020, despite MASSIVE amounts of proof to the contrary, was not Rigged & Stollen, then he & his group of MAGA Hating Globalist RINOS should get out of the News Business as soon as possible, because they are aiding & abetting the DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA with FAKE NEWS. Certain BRAVE & PATRIOTIC FoxNews Hosts, who he scorns and ridicules, got it right. He got it wrong. THEY SHOULD BE ADMIRED & PRAISED, NOT REBUKED & FORSAKEN!!!”

This is what happens when you hook your horse to the Trump bandwagon.

Look at all the people in Trump’s past that he turned on, yet Fox News apparently thought, this time, it will be different.

It’s not.

Fox News is being outed by the left and an attacked by Trump from the right.

This Is what happens when you you give up integrity in an effort to try and be popular.

Fox News is damage goods right now. They won’t admit it, but they know it. They know letting Hannity and Carlson do whatever they want with no oversight is costing them.

Someone will take the fall, will it be Suzanne Scott?

Time will tell.

This much is known, somewhere, Roger Ailes is looking up from his fiery pit with a big smile on his face.

Update: Matt Drudge is reporting that Scott’s job is safe. In a headline on his site, Druge wrote, “FOX BOSS SCOTT NOT UP FOR CHOP, TOP SOURCES TELL DRUDGE…” Matt Drudge has enjoyed a cozy relationship with Fox News for years and is sources at Fox News go very high up the food chain.

My take on this is that we are only in the 2nd inning of a 9-inning game. There is still a lot that needs to play out. Scott very well might keep her job, but this case is a long way from the courtroom and that will carry the biggest weight on this matter.

But, the fact that there is now talk about Scott being ousted and all the other issues that this case is bringing to light, is showing some of the blemishes on the Fox News brand.
