More TV News Clichés

This could go on forever, but another TV newsie wanted to follow up on this week’s FTVLive Newsletter with some more TV news clichés.

"Neighbors are on edge" Yeh, I talk that way.  "Hey, June, are you and Bert on edge tonight?".

"Neighbors are speaking out." June and Bert actually don't argue, whisper, scream, converse, or just talk... They just "speak out" mostly at the dinner table!

"I'll have the forecast". Really? Will You? Promise? Hey Meteorologist...DUH!

"We'll have the latest". Well, having the latest is your job numbnuts!

"Details are next". Well that's your job as well.... don't ya think?

"It's a parent's worst nightmare" Hey single idiot producer; until you are a parent STOP WRITING THAT! You have no idea!

Another newsie weighed in with this:

When anchors say they're shifting gears, shouldn't they speak faster or slower? In a higher or lower pitch?

Why is everything, "At the end of the day"? Can't they say, "When all is said and done", every once in awhile?
