Texas Gov Bans TikTok

Just months after TikTok Anchor Caroline Collins starts at struggling KRIV in Houston, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has issued a TikTok ban.

Abbott is banning TikTok on personal and state-issued devices for all public employees.

This means state employees will not be able to catch up on the latest news on Collins's latest dance videos from the news set.

Abbot says that TikTok is a security threat to official government business. The governor cited the ownership of TikTok by a Chinese firm with close ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as a reason to ban the popular video-sharing application.

Collins can’t be happy.

But don’t fret; she is still delivering the news on Instagram. Hard-hitting journalism like this.
