Tegna Stations Go Dark

As Tegna tries to dig deeper into the pocket of viewers, their stations have gone dark on DirecTV.

Tegna is demanding that DirecTV pay them more money per subscriber despite the fact that they are offering the viewer nothing more than the last time they negotiated a retransmission agreement with DirecTV.

As stations watch viewers tune out, ratings sink, and ad dollars drop, companies like Tegna try and gouge cable and satellite customers to pay more money to watch the same crap.

In the end the two sides will come to an agreement, the details of which will not be made public, then customers of DirecTV will see another rate increase.
