Ditching Scripps and Crossing The Street

As Scripps continues to tell Anchors that their services are no longer needed, some anchors are moving from the outhouse to the penthouse.

In Tallahassee, No. 1 rated station WCTV hired Anchor Ava Van Valen from struggling Scripps station WTXL, to anchor the 4PM newscast.

This makes WCTV’s second former WTXL personality hired. Alison Posey was the first one.

Good for both Anchors, landing better jobs in the same market and putting Scripps in the rearview.
