Tegna Anchor Busted for DUI (Updated)

It appears that one Tegna Anchor spent the Thanksgiving holiday under arrest.

According to court records, WKYC Met Hollie Strano was arrested for Operating a vehicle under the influence.

Records show that her blood alcohol was .24, which is 3 times over the legal limit in Ohio.

As of the writing of this story, the Tegna station has not mentioned their anchor’s arrest on air, or on the website.

A station insider tells FTVLive that with a major snowstorm impacting Ohio, Chief Meteorologist Betsy Kling had to cover Strano’s morning weather duties.

Strano’s bio remains on the WKYC website.

Update: After FTVLive wrote this story and 5 days after she was arrested, WKYC posted the dashcam video of Strano’s incident in which she crashed her car into a power pole and sent sparks flying.

And, of course, Tegna being Tegna, that slapped a pre-roll ad on the video.

Here are the court records on her case. She is expected to be back in court on Thursday.
