Recording the News In Tampa?

A Tampa media insider emailed FTVLive to say that Scripps WFTS is recording their weekend newscasts and weekday 11 newscasts.

FTVLive has not confirmed that to be the case, but since Scripps is airing recorded newscasts in other markets, it would not be surprising.

“I’m not sure what the motivation is, other than saving money on overtime. I really hope they get caught with their pants down when a cop gets shot, or a 4-alarm fire breaks out at a theater,” the media insider said.

To be honest, I don’t think the Scripps suits would care the least. It’s all about the money at this point.
