Seems Like a Messed Up Situation
/Gray’s KCTV (Kansas City) sent us a release last week saying the station has hired Luke Dorris as chief meteorologist.
In the release, KCTV says that Dorris will join meteorologists Alena Lee, Greg Bennett, Warren Sears, and Savannah Tennyson at KCTV5 on January 17, 2024, to help build the team’s First Warn 5 weather brand and provide Kansas City with forward-thinking weather coverage designed to keep viewers safe.
“Luke’s experience as a forecaster, and his passion for helping people jumps off the screen because you can tell how much he loves what he does,” said Curtis Miles, vice president and general manager at KCTV5. “I think people in Kansas City will immediately be drawn to him for the same reason.”
But here’s where it gets odd: KCTV still has Erin Little listed as the station’s Chief Met on their website.
Little is suing the station and hasn’t been on the station’s air for months and months. In fact, she hasn’t been on the air, ever since she was named Chief Met.
I guess; congratulations to Luke Dorris, but I’m not sure this is a situation I would want to be walking into.
Just saying…
