Which States Show Most Interest in Sex Toys

Some want to pay us; others just send along a release.

Mostly, we delete the emails and then look for news about TV news.

But since this is the November book, we feel the need to spice things up around here.

A sex toy company called LELO conducted a research project to find out which states get their kink on.

They sent along their findings, and we thought we would share (no, we are not getting paid to do so).

Using Google data, experts looked at various search terms, including “sex toys,” “dildo,” “vibrator,” and "personal lubricants”. The study focuses on two main things: which US state searches the most for intimate products and what specific products they're most interested in.

New Hampshire comes out as the state with the highest level of interest in intimate products. While mostly searching “adult store near me,” the product with the most attention is a rose adult toy.

Virginia is second on the list, with 207K monthly searches for intimate items. Like New Hampshire, Virginians are often searching for adult stores while also being interested in men's sex toys.

Colorado comes in third, showing moderate interest in online searches for intimate products. Colorado residents look for intimate items more than 100K times every month, with a particular interest in adult toys for women.

New York ranks fourth in online searches for intimate products. With more than 400K monthly searches for intimate products, adult toys for couples are New Yorkers' most in-demand products.

California comes in fifth with a moderate level of interest in intimate products. The favorite product among searchers is the women's adult toy. Californians are also curious about the local adult stores and some affordable adult products. 

Minnesota ranks sixth, with a balanced level in online searches for intimate products. The most popular product in Minnesota seems to be a rabbit adult toy in nearby shops.

Texas ranks seventh with lower interest in intimate products. Adult toys for couples are the most popular product here, and most people seek the closest adult stores, searching for these products more than 500K times.

Alaska comes in eighth, showing lower interest in searches. In Alaska, the go-to product for most people is men's sex toys.

Nevada ranks ninth, with fewer people searching online for any intimate products. Nevada's most commonly searched products are female adult toys in nearby stores.

Florida rounds out the list with the lowest interest in adult products. Here, sexy toy shops attract attention the most, with tongue adult toys and other sexual toys having the most attention.

I have to admit, I’m a little disappointed in my home state of Florida right now. I thought you guys were dirtier than that.
