Needless to say, that has brought in a lot of reaction from the FTVLive readers.
We thought we would share a couple.

You’re right on the money (no pun intended) about Nexstar salaries. Before I left the company, I personally sat in meetings where management openly discussed getting rid of seasoned talent because they could hire first year talent much cheaper. It’s the unavoidable result of their policy of only putting sales managers into GM and corporate positions.
FTVLive showed you that Nexstar was paying just $15 bucks an hour for a Producer at Elmira station WTEM.
Longtime Producer Tim Millard started his career at the same station and made this eye-opening post on his social media:

Scott,
I worked for Nexstar for seven years and was sick of not making ends meet. I didn’t want to leave the business, but I felt I had no other choice.
I now work for a local municipality, making two and a half times what I made with Nexstar.
The reason the business is filled with TikTokers and lightweights is because most of the competent people have left.
