The End of an Era in Chicago

Legendary Chicago Weatherman Tom Skilling announced that he is going to retire after the Feb book next year.

Skilling has been at WGN since 1978 and started his broadcasting career at age 14.

Skilling is a legend both inside and outside Chicago. It was not unusual for Skilling’s weather forecast to serve up 30 or more maps or graphics.

No word on who will replace him. at the Nexstar station, but WGN has a deep bench, including morning Mets Paul Konrad and Morgan Kolkmeyer.
