Phil is Wrong, More than Right

Despite TV stations fawning over Punxsutawney Phil and his predictions on how long Winter will last, it appears that Phil does not have a very good batting average.

A study showed that Punxsutawney Phil’s predictions have only been correct about 39% of the time. That being said, other groundhogs, such as General Beauregard Lee in Georgia and Wiarton Willie in Ontario, Canada, have a slightly higher accuracy rate, with predictions correct around 40-44% of the time.

All of them are still getting it right more times than CNBC’s Jim Cramer.

Just saying….
