Oh Boy (the news person whose boyfriend or significant other brought her lunch down to her, "already heated up with a fork.")

How does the fork heat up the food?  Is it battery-operated, or does it plug into the wall?  How hot does it get the food?

I've just gotta get me one of those.

Memphis has a lot of news going on right now, but if she tells journalism stories like this, I'd hate to be the producer or editor who has to approve HER copy.

In response to CNN’s low ratings.

The only chance CNN has to compete is to totally clean house and find talent and producers and EP’s and execs who have no political opinions and just do the news.  Don’t worry about repetition.  Run a 24-7 hard news operation.  Do a Nightline-type show every evening, examining an important story in depth and without bias. Period.  Take your lumps early.  Become credible again.  Win.

This post seemed all to familiar...

Walmart is going to start new workers at $17.50/hr, and honestly, it looks quite tempting.

For reference: As an executive site producer I’m still making $17/hr in my small market. This after having gone from production asst > technical director > photog > site producer.

Sure Wallyworld isn’t news but it beats a nosy ND and careless GM breathing down your neck about pageviews week after week.

Anyway, longtime reader, first-time emailer. Thanks for what you do.
