The Return of Al *

Al Roker, the beloved weatherman for "TODAY," will be returning to work this Friday, January 6th, after a nearly two month absence due to medical issues. In November, Roker was admitted to the hospital with blood clots in his lungs and legs, causing him to miss his first Thanksgiving Day Parade in 27 years.

Though he was released on Thanksgiving, Roker experienced complications and was rushed back to the hospital the following day. It is unclear what these complications were, but Roker was released from the hospital for the second time on December 8th and sent home to rest.

Roker's co-hosts and crew members showed their support for him during his recovery by gathering outside his home in Santa Claus hats and singing Christmas songs, which brought Roker to tears.
