Former Anchor Sued by Co-Worker

Remember former KTVI (St. Louis) Anchor Vic Faust?

Well, he’s back in the news.

The disgraced former Nexstar Anchor is facing legal action from Crystal N. Cooper, who co-hosted his radio show on KFNS (100.7 FM) on September 13th of last year. Cooper has filed a lawsuit against Faust, accusing him of defaming her, assaulting her, and restraining her from leaving the broadcast booth during an off-air tirade.

According to the lawsuit, which was filed in St. Charles County Circuit Court, Faust launched into an extended outburst that criticized Cooper for her weight and parenting skills, using profanity at least 40 times and calling her "fat," "stupid," and "nasty." Faust was fired from KTVI about a week after the incident, and Cooper quit working at the station shortly after.

The lawsuit also accuses Faust of "false imprisonment" and of assaulting Cooper through his behavior during the outburst. The defamation allegations are connected to Faust's podcast, where he allegedly claimed that Cooper had orchestrated the confrontation that cost him his job. These claims, the suit states, have damaged Cooper's reputation.

Travis Noble, Faust's attorney, has stated that the lawsuit is "completely without merit" and that Faust did not assault or restrain Cooper at any point. The lawsuit asks for "in excess of $25,000" for each of three counts and an unspecified amount of punitive damages.

This legal development is the latest chapter in a story that has already caused significant controversy and loss of employment for both parties involved. The outcome of this lawsuit will be closely watched in the coming months.
