Is This Longtime Anchor Thinking About Walking?

Word is that WIVB (Buffalo) longtime Anchor Jacquie Walker is thinking about retiring from the Nexstar station.

Walker has been on the air in Buffalo for nearly 4 decades.

The station has lost a number of Anchors and on-air talent lately and losing Walker would be a big blow.

When reached by the Buffalo News and asked about the possibility that she might call it quits, Walker said, “If you're lucky enough, everybody will retire someday. In my case, it isn’t today.”

Word is that the suits at WIVB and Nexstar are hoping to keep her from stepping away.

Walker joined the station back in October of 1983.
