I talked to some friends in Cleveland the other day and while they are not people that work in TV news, they do like watching the news.

If you want to watch the Noon news, you know that it comes on at 12PM, The 5:00 news comes on at, you guessed it, 5PM. Same with both the 6 and 11:00 news.

But Tegna’s WKYC has come up with, well let’s just say, stupid names for their newscasts.

I asked my friends if they could remember any of the names of the newscasts on the Tegna station. Some they knew, but had no clue what time they were on. A couple named what they thought were the names of WKYC’s newscasts, but they weren’t even close.

Even a number of people that work at WKYC had told FTVLive how utterly dumb they think these newscasts names are.

WKYC’s Brianna Dahlquist just tweeted out that she has been bumped up to Anchor of the station’s Sunday morning newscast.

In her post, she referred to the newscast but its title of “Go.”

So now my friends can watch Go with Brianna, or is that watching Brianna Go?

Like we said, it Is stupid.

I will predict that after Standard General closes on the deal for the Tegna stations, the newscast at WKYC will go back to normal names.

Then again, maybe Standard General likes stupidity.
