Tulsa Anchor Suffers Stroke on the Air
/A very big scare at KJRH in Tulsa as Anchor Julie Chin had what doctors said was the beginning of a stroke while on the air.
Chin was reporting the delay of the NASA rocket when she appeared to stumble over her words. It was then soon obvious that something was seriously wrong.
“I’m sorry, something is going on with me this morning and I apologize to everybody,” she said. “Let’s just go ahead and send it on to meteorologist Annie Brown.
Brown then finished out the b broadcast.
It was amazing that Chin was able to throw it to Brown, as she knew she was in trouble.
FTVLive is happy to report that Chin did go on social media to say that she is doing better.
“I’m so glad to tell you I’m OK,” Chin wrote on Facebook. “The past few days are still a little bit of a mystery, but my doctors believe I had the beginnings of a stroke live on the air Saturday morning. Some of you witnessed it firsthand, and I’m so sorry that happened.”
I think we are all happy that she is doing better and I don’t think anyone feels that an apology is needed.
She showed a lot of class in a very difficult situation.
The video is posted below and while it is tough to watch, big props for how Chin handled such a scary event.
