Fox News was way out in front when. the network correctly called the state of Arizona for Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

The early call was dead on, but it pissed off Donald Trump and many at Fox News.

In the book “The Divider” by Peter Baker and Susan Glasser, they report that Fox News Anchor Bret Baier wanted the network to cave to Trump’s demands.

Baier wanted Fox News to rescind the Arizona call and took his plea to FNC Chief Jay Wallace.

"'The Trump campaign was really pissed,' he wrote in an email to Wallace. “This situation is getting uncomfortable. Really uncomfortable. I keep having to defend this on air,” Baier reportedly said.

The authors wrote that journalists on the Decision Desk thought there was "no serious question about Arizona," but Baier, in his email, accused them of "'holding on for pride,'" the book says.

The call was the correct one, but it pissed off a number of Trump supporters and many of Trump’s friends at Fox News.

As for Bret Baier, he folded like a cheap lawn chair.
