No News, Friends

It appears that KOLD (Tucson) had some issue with the station’s 9p news that they produce on Tegna’s KMSB.

It appears that due to technical reasons the newscast did not hit the air at the scheduled time and they can an episode of Friends in place of the news, with a crawl about the technical difficulties.

It seems that the issue fixed was fixed at about 9:15 and the news came on the air.

I thought this was weird….

Say the viewer tuned in for the newscast, but the newscast wasn’t there.

So, instead, they start watching this episode of “Friends” that the station is airing in place of the news.

The viewer has never seen this episode and they are really getting into the show and enjoying it.

Then, halfway through, the station cuts out of the Friends and starts up with an abbreviated edition of the news.

The viewer feels like they are being bounced around like a ping-pong ball.
